Welcome & Announcements
*Call to Worship
One: This morning we turn our thoughts toward God. We’ve been led to this hilltop to worship.
All: We come, trusting in the Almighty God’s steadfast love. We gather, seeking the way of salvation and peace.
One: God has made an everlasting covenant with us. Let us proclaim God’s loving faithfulness to all generations.
All: At times we think God has forgotten us because often we do not understand what God expects from us.
One: The good news is that God never forgets us and we are shown the value of life by God’s many good blessings.
All: Holy, holy, holy, our God is merciful and mighty!
*Prayer of Invocation: Holy God, thank You for hearing our prayers for it helps us to know You. We also pray that our
songs of praise will make our hearts more open to Your Dear Savior, so we can hear You speak to us. For we do make
the proclamation, ‘who ever you are, where ever you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here’ – so fill us with Your
Holy Spirit, make us hospitable, and help us to know You are here with us today, Amen.
*Opening Hymn: “Holy, Holy, Holy” #277
Passing of the Peace
"Whoever you are, and wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome here."
Call to Confession
Prayer of Confession: Free us, O God, from self-absorption about our own concerns because we need to remember
Your loving intention for us. We admit that it hard to look at what is happening around us through any eyes but our own.
We confess that we obey our own wants and desires rather than joining in Your loving intention for the good of all Your
children. That is why we’re sorry for those times we’ve failed to be fully hospitable to any of Your little ones. For we
want to live up to our proclamation of welcoming all persons in Your name. Help us now, Loving God, in Jesus’ name
and Spirit, amen.
Assurance of Forgiveness:
Children’s Sermon

Call to Offering:
Offering
Doxology: Praise God, from whom all blessings flow; Praise Christ, all creatures here below; Praise Holy Spirit,
Comforter; One God, Triune, whom we adore. Amen.
Prayer of Dedication: Today, we bring our offering because we are grateful, Holy God, for all You bless us with.
Generous God, we realize You have provided everything we need and that’s why we dedicate our offering to disciple-
making; the most holy business of this, Your Church. We, as Your disciples, also dedicate ourselves to You, and we
promise to try being more obedient as we give cups of water to any one where ever they are on their life’s journey. We
do this Lord, because we are seeking to reach out faithfully, as we work together in this holy ministry to You. We
dedicate all we offer to You, in Jesus’ name and Spirit, Amen.
Holy Communion Invitation: Hear these words of Jesus Christ, Where two or three gather in my name – there I am
also. So here we are gathered in His name and we remember this table is open to ALL who confess Jesus as the Christ.
Please come to this table not because you must – but because you may.
One: God be with you.
All: And also with you.
One: Lift up your hearts.
All: We lift them up to God.
One: Let us give God thanks and praise.
All: It is right to give God thanks and praise.
WORDS OF INSTITUTION
We Pray Together: We ask You to bless this bread and cup. Be with us as we share this meal, and remind us You are
in our lives, that we may know You are the Holy One, who with Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit lives forever. May this
meal empower us to bring others to know Your love, Amen.
Breaking Bread, Pouring the Cup, and Sharing The Lord’s Supper The inside ring of cups in the tray are
grape juice, all others are wine.
Prayer of Thanksgiving: We thank You God for inviting us to this table. Here we are strengthened for the tasks ahead
of us: the loving of the world by making disciples in Your name. Thank You, for strengthening our faith that we may love
one another and all You created even more. Teach us to pray, share, sing, teach, feed, heal, call and welcome as You
have done to us through Jesus Christ, Amen.
*Closing Hymn: “God, We Present Ourselves” by Reverend Lavon Baylor
(tune: “More Love to You”)
1. God, we present ourselves – This day to You.
Take all our sins away; Help us be true.
As You bring life anew, Grant grace to see us through.
Each passing hour, Grant us Your power.
2. We are now under law, But under grace.
Yet, we would be Your slaves, in Love’s embrace,
Daily obeying You, Your purpose to pursue,
Sharing Your Word – ‘Till all have heard.
3. We welcome those You send, Prophet and friend.
Pray, help us minister, Not just pretend.
May we put others first, Seeking to quench their thirst
With water pure, Life to ensure. Amen.
Benediction
